Introduction
Cette page sert de fil rouge à une activité de choix d'un emoji à broder sur un vêtement à surcycler. Il y a le choix entre utiliser une numérisation déjà faite ou assister à une numérisation.

Le standard
Les emojis sont standardisés dans le cadre de la norme UTF-8 (encodage de caractères numériques). La dernière version 14 a été publié en sept. 2021 et contient plus que 1300 caractères (en tenant compte de diverses variantes pour le même dessin). Les emoji sont implémentés ensuite par certains fabricants comme Apple, Windows, Google, Twitter, Facebook. Leur graphisme diffère et leur licences aussi. Les polices Noto (Google/Android) et Twemoji (Twitter) ont une licence ouverte. Les emoji de Twitter sont généralement simples à numériser.
Choisir un emoji
Nous avons déjà numérisé une centaine de dessins. Sinon, vous pouvez choisir un emoji approprié et on va le numériser. On conseille Keyboard.cool. On peut chercher des mots en Anglais et le résultat affiché permet de télécharge du SVG Noto et TweMoji. On peut également parcourir des dossiers:
Le tableau suivant affiche les grandes catégories ainsi que les sous-catégories officielles de la version 14. Le dossier des emoji numérisés contient à la fois les fichiers source en SVG, des fichiers design pour Stitch Era ou InkStitch ou Hatch Embroidery 3, des fichiers machine PES et/ou DST.

Unicode® Emoji Charts v14.0 a été publié en sept. 2021 et fin octobre 2021 les nouveaux symboles étaient encore peu implémentés. Les nouveaux emojis sont listés ici sur le site de unicode, par exemple un toboggan ou le lotus. Les liens dans le tableau ci-dessous pointent vers le site officiel de unicode.
