Welcome to EduTechWiki
EduTech Wiki is about Educational Technology and related fields. This "place" serves several connected objectives:
- Originally, this Wiki has been created as support for a course on "Virtual Projects" (project-oriented pedagogies) by a team from TECFA in the framework of eTeach-Net, a joint project involving 9 higher education institutions in Switzerland.
- Some TECFA students participate trough a formal writing-to-learn course or to prepare their master or PhD thesis projects (see the french version).
Actually there are 1,965 articles on this wiki. You also can explore a visualisation of various relationships (requires Java Runtime).
Authors and status
- This Wiki is really under construction which means that the overall organization is still fairly unstable and that most articles seriously lack content, depth, style, authority (or all four together). Since we first would like to reach a certain level of stability we don't yet actively encourage authors outside TECFA to participate.
- Please make sure to read the editing rules, help etc.
- If you are new to wiki technology, you can make some tests in our SandBox
- Maintenance categories: under construction, stubs, incomplete.

News:
- June 23 2006: More speed. We now have a squid server in front. However, it does not work with the Wiki visualization. In order to change the code, sometimes visualization will be enabled, sometimes disabled over the next few days ....).
- May 30 2006: DSchneider gave his first talk ever on "Instructional Design Models and Methods (PDF)". Of course, it was based on concepts defined in this wiki.
- June 6 2006: Talk "Les Wikis dans l'éducation et la formation" à Lyon I PDF ou HTML.
- We should develop a model for authorship (unlike the Wikipedias). However, for technical reasons this will have to wait until Mediawiki 1.7 is released (see also the Copyright notice).
- Interested in studying educational technology ? Join our Master of Science in Learning and Teaching Technologies (you need to understand french).
