Welcome to EduTech Wiki
EduTech Wiki is about Educational Technology (instructional technology) and related fields and was built at TECFA - an educational technology research and teaching unit at University of Geneva.
Objectives - this wiki can be used as:
- resource kit for educational technology teaching;
- note taking tool for researchers and advanced practitioners in educational technology (you write);
- literature review tool for all interested persons;
- writing-to-learn environment for students in educational technology and other fields (they write).
Some materials may be useful to teachers, instructional designers, e-learning consultants, etc. (but it's not the main purpose of this site).
Actually there are 1,965 articles on this wiki. There is also a french version with less but different contents.
You also visualize relationships in SVG or Java (see the toolbox to your left or the special pages).
If you have questions, send a mail to Daniel K. Schneider (he "owns" this wiki and is to blame for most of the current contents). Other major contributors are/were Kalli Benetos and Stéphane Lattion. We also get help from people outside of TECFA, thanx to you all !
Authors and status
- This Wiki is under construction. Its overall organization is still a bit unstable and most articles lack content, depth, style, authority (or all four together).
- Anybody is welcome to participate, but please read the editing rules and the copyright notice.
- If you are new to wiki technology, please browse through help and then make some tests in our SandBox.
- Maintenance categories (find unfinished articles): under construction, stubs, incomplete.
News:
- June 25 2007. Romain finished the Beta 2 version of the SVG visualization. You can grab the source zip file, license is GPL, no warranty.
- ICOOL 2007, June 11-14 - I prepared my stuff with this note taking tool - DKS
- June 1 2007. Upgrade to 1.10.0
- May 2007. Again Lamericaana's students contributed. Thanx :) How about calling her course "foreign language teaching 2.0" ?
- Spring 2007. Several new users got a login and fixed mistakes (grammar and others). Thanx to all of you :)
