Introduction

Classroom management software includes a variety of software to organise learning activities within classrooms and homework. It shares functionality with learning management systems (LMS), but may include direct access to external educational applications, which most LMSs do not.

The term is also used to design more specific types of software. For example, Google classroom combines its office software, email and calendar into an advertisement-free whole that includes additional functionality such s assignment management and quizzing. It also is strongly related to the idea of a paperless classroom or the french ENTs.

Some software implements very specific functionality. E.g. classcharts provides functionality for seating plans, behavior management and analytics. From the same company, a tool called SchoolRobins allows collecting information about student, group or topic and to collate it.
