Google Classroom
According to Wikipedia, “Google Classroom is a free web service developed by Google for schools that aim to simplify creating, distributing and grading assignments in a paperless way. The primary purpose of Google Classroom is to streamline the process of sharing files between teachers and students.” (retrieved May 2, 2019).

It also creates Drive folders for each assignment and for each student to help keep everyone organized. One also could qualify google classroom as a light-weight learning management system. Other big vendors develop similar software, all with certain advantages and certain disadvantages, e.g. Google has privacy issues and Apple requires strongly proprietary hardware.
