The BOINC client includes the following components

:It can do three things: The overview screensaver displays general information, such as the BOINC status, a list of projects, etc. The project graphics display the graphics for one of the currently running tasks, e.g., SETI@home. However, many projects do not have screensaver graphics. The screensaver coordinator controls the screensaver, selecting either the default screensaver or project graphics.

XTribe has been designed with a modular structure through which most of the complexity associated to running an experiment is hidden into a Main Server, while the experimentalist is left with the only duty of devising a suitable interface for the actual experiment. In this way most of the coding difficulties related to the realization of a dynamic web application are already taken care by the ET Server and the realization of an experiment should be as easy as constructing a webpage with the main utilities for it. +

pyBossa system (like Crowdcrafting.org) has three main components:
* The BOSSA core
* A task presenter, i.e. a HTML5 frontend that will load the task data into the DOM of a web page. Task Presenters can be either HTML5/JavaScript code that sits in the pyBossa server or they can be made with any language communicating through the API.
* A task creator, i.e. a script that will upload tasks for the application to the BOSSA core.
There are two approaches for creating pyBossa applications:
* Using the web interface of a pyBossa server
* Using the REST API
You can create applications that use existing templates with different types of data. Else, you must learn how to create applications with Python. You will have to install a virtual Python environment in your machine, code, create the application that then can be "pushed" into a pyBossa server. +
