Definition
We define wiki-supported project-oriented learning as some kind of relativly open enden project-based learning design that uses the wiki as sole (or central) tool. Of course, such a design also can be adapted to other project-oriented learning designs, e.g. inquiry learning
Pedagogical goals:
- Create applicable and/or "deep" knowledge in some domain
- Learn how to conduct a research project.

Below are some suggestions that need to be adapted to your needs.
- This model has been tested in 2006 with a university-level class in history of deviant social behavior. Both teacher and students didn't have much exposure to Internet technology.
- DSchneider helped designing the course (2h of work) and then sometimes met with the teacher and the class. All in all it rather was a "low cost" operation and no systematic observation / evaluation was performed.
The model has four stages:

- Teacher defines global course topic
- Defines (ajustable) milestones and student evaluation procedure
- Student teams (5 to 7 members) are formed according to their interests (each student had to write a short text in the wiki)
