Text-based virtual realities are a form of habitats or virtual environments, e.g. a place where people be and do things on-line.
Types
- MOOs
- MUDs
- Interactive fiction (only to the extent that one can do things within a text)
- C3MS with integrated awareness tools (who is here, who does what, who did what, what is new,) + shoutbox
