Roberto Lopez was born in Salamanca (Spain) in 1976. He earned a B.Sc. in Physics from the University of Salamanca in 2000, an Erasmus Certificate from the University of Liverpool (UK) in 2000, a M.Sc. in Computational Physics from the University of Salford (UK) in 2001 and a Ph.D. in Artificial Intelligence from the Technical University of Catalonia (Spain) in 2009.

Roberto Lopez has 14 years of experience in the development and application of data mining technology. He has worked as a modelling and control engineer at Tata Steel, as a researcher at the International Center for Numerical Methods in Engineering (CIMNE) and also as a researcher at the Technical University of Catalonia (UPC). Roberto Lopez is now the CEO of Intelnics, a company specialized in artificial intelligence techniques.
