Miguel Rodríguez Artacho (Ph. D.) is researcher and associate professor at UNED University, Spain. He is the coordinator of the Learning Technologies and Cooperative Systems group at LSI Department.

Research

Main research focuses on the development of learning content specifications to model individual and collaborative learning processes, learning resources and tools, including semantic web uses of e-learning and assessment mechanisms and evaluation using item response theory. Also participates in Learning Technology standardization groups like CEN TC353, Learning Technologies Workshop and IEC/JTC1/SC36. Since 2005 co-holds the technical secretariat of Spanish e-learning standardization body AEN/CTN71.He has been ITC Manager Director at UNED University (2003-2006)and invited panelist and chair of LT related conferences and has several publications concerning educational content modeling and collaborative learning environments.

Currently UNED coordinator of CREASE and eLearning eMadrid projects.

Former research includes the development of PALO Language (http://sensei.lsi.uned.es/palo), one of the first proposals of Educational Modeling Languages, and also the “Active Document” , a formalism to modelize collaborative tasks.
