I have taught French and English as foreign languages for ca 30 years at various levels (universities, secondary - gymnasial and vocational - schools, middle schools) and am also a translator.

I became interested in the potential of online technologies for education in 1998, through translations for the Poschiavo project (Oct 18, 2003 Internet Archive version of the site), and a few years later, in online accessibility, digital divide, and other users' rights issues. Hence my participation in groups and projects like Swiss Internet User Group (SIUG), Digital Divide Network and Webmutimediale projects.

With Luca Mascaro and Anna Veronese, we created the Noi Media (translation of We Media) project, aimed at furthering the use of "Web 2.0" tools in Ticino schools: we organised a workshop about online collaboration tools for vocational school teachers at the request of Institut fédéral des hautes études en formation professionnelle (IFFP) in November-December 2007.

Recently (November 2008), I started writing about accessibility issues of online multimedia for innovateblog.wordpress.com, the blog of Innovate: Journal of Online Education.
