Feedback: Thank you Fida for sharing your work. Your project to work on Open and Distance Education (ODE) and teacher training in crisis context as a topic makes sense. If I understand well, you will develop the 4 following activities within this module: Script 1 a

  • ctivity with OEP
  • Design evaluation criteria
  • Create an Open badge
  • Publish and share the project on the chosen Open platform

If this is the case, you might want:

  • to flesh out the activities now, i.e. which resources you will use, the activities' outputs, etc.
  • to present the context clearly and differentiated from what you will carry out in the module

Dear Fida, Thank you for the update. Unfortunately, I still have difficulties in distinguishing YOUR learning outcomes from the contextual project. You may want to look at Salem's work and my comment if you want to work on your project and build in some OE aspects. Else, please look at my comments to Fred. Actually, I understood from last time's synchronous session that you were going to take the Open U course. If this is the case, then you do not need to design a scenario since it is already set out. You just need to say that you are going to take this Open U course and report in the wiki page the different outcomes of the course taken, i.e. what you produce in the activities. In addition, when you will have finished the course, it would be great if you could add a reflection on how to transfer what you learned in EiE, if it makes sense, etc. Hope this helps, Best

Dear Fida, Thank you for updating your page. Please find below some comments to improve your page: - structure of your page: if you use "Headings" levels, you get the navigation at the top of the page - I have rapidly edited your page but you need to go through it again and streamline, double-check, etc. - introduction: imagine someone surfing on the internet and arriving on your page without knowing anything about CAS DLE, your project, who you are, etc. Try to provide some title for your project, some information on your aims, who you are (e.g. a link to your linkedin page is enough), etc. It would also be helpful to explain why you have twice learning outcomes in the page, i.e. your own for this module and the ones mentioned in your project where you integrate some OER and OE issues. - in the detailed description, please use the form of the verbs consistently: do not mix -ing forms and infinitive - the content until the table "Examples of activities using OEP" is very relevant. For this table, I do not see where OEP are. Could you please explain? Are you mixing OER and OEP? - In your section "Distance learning and open education in emergencies", what is specific to EiE? Also maybe make clear what the differences between digital learning and OE are. - For "OE Activities for project learners", you may also point to Salem's quiz on the recommendations if he issues the quiz as an OER! - For the pedagogical approaches, you may want to consider these websites and update: https://edutechwiki.unige.ch/en/Pedagogic_strategy ; https://www.twinkl.ch/teaching-wiki/5-pedagogical-approaches; https://jwu.pressbooks.pub/openpedagogyapproaches/ In conclusion, you still need to add some work to have a fully aligned content on this page. Hope this helps, Best

Dear Fida, Thank you for your active participation in the module and your trying out things. Your wikipage could be improved by simple re-arrangement of titles and sections. I know there was a WYSIWYG problem with the editor and I guess this made it difficult. The idea if I understand correctly is to have 1) a general introduction, 2) your learning outcomes in the module, 3) a description of the context of your project and professional conditions - describing distance and digital learning and to some extent openness, 4) how you will introduce OE in your project 5) In the tools for publication section you mention "Commons network" and I wonder to what you are refering. The link between sections is a bit difficult to understand: how do you jump from tools for publication to open assessment? Also a question remains: how do you show that you have achieved the learning outcomes that you announce for your learning journey in this module, section 3? How can I know that you have become familiar with UNESCO OER recommendation for instance? For a next step, I would encourage you to shorten pieces on distance and digital learning and develop sections related to openness. Best
