Ndamyo Msofi has been providing leadership to a couple of Area Development Programs and projects with multiple funding sources such as Child Sponsorship and public donor funding across the globe. She worked as a Program Manager at World Vision for a dedicated period of 10 years, leading Child Protection and Sponsorship programs, Early Childhood Development, Food security, Education, WASH, Health, Gender Equality and Mainstreaming as well as Disaster Risk Reduction and Recovery projects. Ndamyo provided an oversight role for the smooth implementation of all programs.

Ndamyo Msofi has been providing leadership to a couple of Area Development Programs and projects with multiple funding sources such as Child Sponsorship and public donor funding across the globe. She worked as a Program Manager at World Vision for a dedicated period of 10 years, leading Child Protection and Sponsorship programs, Early Childhood Development, Food security, Education, WASH, Health, Gender Equality and Mainstreaming as well as Disaster Risk Reduction and Recovery projects. Ndamyo provided an oversight role for the smooth implementation of all programs.

Ndamyo has been working with Save the Children as a Project Lead person on the ‘Let Girls Learn Project” in Phalombe district. She was responsible for providing strategic direction, leadership and technical guidance to the project with a clear organizational focus on child rights by working with parents/guardians and communities to ensure that all children are educated for life and protected. The project addresses Gender Based Violence and Stereotypes using a multisectoral and community engagement approaches to identify specific areas of focus to support child education and advance their rights.

Ndamyo Ngosi Msofi holds a Master’s Degree in Education for Sustainability from London South Bank University in the United Kingdom and a Bachelor’s Degree in Education Humanities from Chancellor College under the University of Malawi. She holds an International Programme Management Certificate from University of South Africa. Additionally, under the University of Geneva, Ndamyo recently graduated for Postgraduate Diploma, Education in Emergencies. The training offered practical tools and skills to use to advance learning in emergencies as a basic human right issue. She is a certified Trainer for Education in Emergencies. She holds Transformation of Training Certificate.

Ndamyo also participated in an international training for Humanitarian Programming sponsored by Save the Children that provided hands-on experiences and techniques employed to support and protect children in humanitarian crises.

She has special passion for child rights and desire is to see all children growing up with adequate parental care and living their lives to the fullest indeed like Stars are to the sky, so are the children to our world they deserve to shine.
