Debbie is a System Learning Leader with the Calgary Board of Education (CBE) in the department of Learning Innovation. Before this she has worked as a teacher and Complementary Learning Leader in various CBE Schools and in a rural Newfoundland location. As an educator in numerous settings as well as teaching and instructional leader experience in both complementary and core subject areas, Debbie is passionate about personalized, engaging and authentic learning environments and student leadership opportunities. She uses student voice and choice in all her classroom, Career and Technology Foundations lessons and leadership programs, and wants her students to gain and develop knowledge and skills to expand their passions and interests.
