I am trying to find the origin of this model

all I can find is this [1] but I am not sure if this means that they developed and patented the model or just the modelling language (the oh so innovative glyphs and diagrams) based on the pre-existing model. I have also found some non-specific references to a Roger Bybee of BSCS[2] [3][4]. Any one have any ideas?

I figured it out. Roger Bybee is the developer of the 5e learning cycle.

the MG Taylor corporation patented the 5e's of Education (which I don't think I will cover here)
