Haiku is fairly easy to use (very easy to use compared to a typical LMS like Moodle or WebCT/VISTA)
A class is organized through pages that contain blocks you can place with and "add content button" and they can be reorganized.
For the layout you may choose between 1 column, even 2 columns, uneven or even 3 columns. Blocks can be moved by simple dragging. E.g. you typically can put readings (uploaded files), links and calendar to the right column.

* Import blocks from Flickr ODE and YouTube.

* Announcement
You can add and manage students. There is a possibility to load a CSV file: FirstName,midlle,Last,Suffix,Nickname,Email,Student ID.

Haiku is an online Learning Management System service.

Drag & Drop environment to organize a class website (Text, Files, Links, Photos, Audio, Video), Events, Calendar, Assignments. etc. For teachers, their students and parents.

Haiku is free for: 1 class/1MB storage (all features included, no advertizements).
