Introduction

Lego DACTA was a Lego bricks product line for education, but also (from 1989 to ????) the name of the Lego Education divison.

DACTA bricks are now sold as "Lego education bricks" and are a bit difficult to find, i.e. one can't find these in toy stores, only through special resellers that sell to schools. Also, it's difficult just to get a list of available sets. In many countries, these "educational" sets are probably not available or just a few. Anyhow, most "educational" sets are just standard sets in bigger quantities, but there is exist some special pieces like "mosaic" bricks.

Of course, there are also Lego robotics products for all levels of education (e.g. L, but this is not the topic of this page.

• Lego Learning Institute is a lego division that explores new educational products. Associated researchers are Thomas Wolbers (Edinburgh University), Edith Ackerman and Mitch Resnick (MIT), and David Gauntlett (Univ. of Westminster).
