I have working with the web and education in both public and private sectors since 1997. My current role is leading a section supporting a range of web, graphics and learning content services at the University of Edinburgh, including the university portal, website development, graphic design and interactive content.

Previously, I was a founder and Product Director of an e-learning company, Intrallect, which specialised in providing solutions for enterprise-scale management of learning content (learning object repositories), and allied consulting services. I was involved in standards development with IMS, JISC and EML (Learning Design).

In the past I have done research on large scale web-based learning, and teaching using a combination of video conferencing and application sharing.
