Classroom management software
Introduction
Classroom management software includes a variety of software to organise learning activities within classrooms and homework. It shares functionality with learning management systems (LMS), but may include direct access to external educational applications, which most LMSs do not.
The term is also used to design more specific types of software, e.g. integrated sets of educational applications, assignment management plus content production and management (e.g. Google Classroom). It also is strongly related to the idea of a paperless classroom or the french ENTs.
Examples:
- Google Classroom
- Nearpod (contents, collaborative activities and tracking)
Other software that includes some classroom management facilities, in particular activity tracking.
Some software implements very specific functionality. E.g. classcharts provides functionality for seating plans, behavior management and analytics. From the same company, a tool called SchoolRobins allows collecting information about student, group or topic and to collate it.
