Definition

We define online video tutoring as a form of e-tutoring where videoconferencing between a tutor and one more more students is dominant. Online video tutoring also can be part of a more global e-learning strategy. This article only will deal with the former.

We don't have any data on application areas, offering institutions/individuals and demand.

Conjectures about typical demanders:

  • Home schooled children
  • Weak students (for several reasons)
  • Children pushed by their parents to get top grades

Conjectures about typical tutors:

  • Persons needing some extra income (e.g. third world teachers)
  • Persons wanting some part time work (e.g. mothers/fathers staying at home)
