My Name is Mikias Amare, my current role is Assistant Education Officer in UNHCR Ethiopia.

Currently, I lead the overall formal education programs starting from ECCE, primary, secondary, and tertiary education including DAFI scholarship. Also, I support informal education programs including (ALP, FAL) in 3 refugee camps, targeting more than 30,000 students and youth in evolving emergency and protracted contexts.

Why am I interested in CAS DLE

I am currently enrolled in CAS Digital Learning in Emergencies. I have applied for CAS in DLE as it fits my aspiration and is in line with strategic objectives of ensuring access to tertiary education through addressing gaps in finding cost efficient approaches to meet growing demand for the people of concern, faced with constraints including access to financial support, certification, accreditation, and limited support to successful transition to wage earning employment in the country of asylum.
