Originally, I was a High School Teacher Handling History and Economics for over ten years. I also have background training in education administration and curriculum studies. I taught mainly in the post genocide Rwanda. I later pursued an M.A in Disaster Management at graduate level and briefly worked as Climate adaptation coordinator. I later enrolled for CAS EiE 2019/2020 intake for the East and South African region.

Before joining humanitarian work, I worked as a High School Teacher where I taught History and Economics for over seventeen years. I taught mainly in the post genocide Rwanda between 2000 and 2017.
 
I have background training in education administration and curriculum studies from Makerere University in Uganda. I also hold Diploma in Secondary Education from the Institute of Teacher Education in Uganda (ITEK) and an M.A in Disaster Management from Annamalai University in India.  
 
I have also done CAS Education in Emergencies (CAS EiE), 2019/2020 intake for the East and South African region, CAS Digital Learning in Emergencies (DLE) 2021/2022 and am now studying CAS Higher Education in Emergencies (HEiE) 2022/2023from the University of Geneva. I am also pursuing a Masters of Advanced Studies in International Education and Research with a specialization in Education in Emergencies from the UNIGE which slated to end in 2024.  
 
My interests are mainly in Teaching, Education in Emergencies, Educational Technology, Education for Sustainable Development and Disaster Management and Disaster Response.
