Definition

Systematic Design of Instruction is of course a general abstract concept but in this concept we refer to it as the name of a design methodology suggested by Dick & Carey (

The model

  1. Identify the instructional goal
  1. Conduct instructional analysis of the goal
  1. Analyze subordinate skills
  1. Identify entry behaviors and characteristics
  1. Write performance objects
  1. Develop criterion-referenced test items
  1. Develop an instructional strategy
  1. Develop instructional materials
  1. Design and conduct formative evaluations
  1. Revise instructional materials
  1. Conduct summative evaluation
