This page summarizes how EduTechWiki handles personal information. EduTechWiki is a small university-based educational wiki hosted by TECFA (University of Geneva). We collect only the information necessary to operate the wiki.


* We require that authors '''have a login''' in this Wiki and that their home page provides '''a means to identify authors''' (e.g. via a pointer to a home page). So in that sense, there is no privacy.
* User accounts are required for editing. We encourage contributors to provide enough information on their user page to identify themselves (for example through a personal or institutional web page). Contributions are therefore not anonymous.


* On a related issue: Per default, your contribution will remain "unsigned", but you also may sign an individual article as author (under the condition that you add the names of the other important contributors).
* All edits are permanently recorded in the page history together with the associated username. Server logs, including IP addresses, may be retained for security, maintenance and abuse prevention.
