New trends in technology-enhanced learning

Gave a little keynote talk in the online Let the data talk research in interpreting conference. The slides are here. I don't like to give video talks since I have to sit still and since there are always little problems, but it went ok enough :)

This is a good occasion to make some advertisement regarding updates of three interesting systems/software:

• LAMS. Version 2.3.3 is out and running great. This version includes extra tools and adds functionalities to sequencing. It also speaks french: I completed and rehauled the translation (some translations need to be tuned and there are some mistakes, but it's usable ...)
• Mahara. Version 1.2 is out. Best learning e-portfolio software I have seen so far. Made a short tutorial in french.

Both systems are in operation at TECFA and are integrated with MOODLE (i.e. Moodle users can connect directly to Mahara or LAMS sequences).

• CompendiumLD, a concept-map based pedagogical scenario design tool also came out with a new version. Still a prototype, but usable, and much easier to learn than some other educational design languages. I also created a quick and dirty french tutorial.

Coming up: We are waiting for our first 3D Printer to be delivered, i.e. a Bits from Bytes "RepRap", bricolage time ahead...
